For hose who observe the no meat fast on Lenten Fridays, this is a good quick recipe. Add a salad, some crusty bread, and you're all set. 


Amish Onion Patties


            3/4 cup Flour


Mix together the ingredients and add the milk.

  • Add the Onions and Mix thoroughly.
  • Drop the batter into hot deep oil.
  • Turn them and flatten them into patties after 3 minutes.
  • Fry about 3–4 minutes until golden.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • NOTE: You can bake these on a well oiled baking sheet if watching fat intake.
